On March 18th 2013 Mr. Anderson wrote a very good blog about how to get teachers connected. I mentioned Mr. Strange and what he is trying to teach us (future teachers) now in EDM 310 to help us when we are teachers. I think that is kind of what Mr. Anderson wants to do. He says how he goes to ASCD conference every year where they teacher everybody about all these different programs that could be used in the classroom or ways to connect with other teachers all over the world. At this conference however he says that usually the people only take information from the person they are sitting next to, not really learning, or being taught how to use these new programs. A girl that posted on his blog Angela Watson had a good idea of having a session proposal at this ASCD conference to teach and help set up these different programs for teachers. Such as twitter and blogger, ect. They all had good ideas so maybe one of these days they will have it all put together to where they can have a teacher conference to get connected all over the world. Just as Mr. Strange is trying to show us now.
On March 25, 2013 Mr. Anderson wrote about his new program that he is doing with some of his students. He calls it Classroom Champions. It is where you have an Athlete Ambassadors who are Olympians and Paralympians who are training at locations from around the world but give their time to helps and mentor kids in these classrooms. The athletes are there every step of the way to help the students with making videos, writing letters, integrating technology. I think it is a pretty cool program and would be a lot of fun and help motivate the students having an Olympian there to help!
