Silvia Tolisano
On April 3rd Mrs. Tolisano posted pictures from her home town in Buenos Aires. They were absolutely beautiful pictures! But then just a short time ago her mothers home got flooded! It was so sad seeing the town flooded and knowing that, that was Mrs. Tolisano's hometown. She was just there and showed all the beautiful pictures of it and now everything is ruined! It was heartbreaking but she was able to raise just over $800 to send to her mother and some neighbors to help rebuild and buy some of the necessities that were lost!
On April 20th Mrs. Tolisano wrote about a book she had came across. "Connected form the start: Global learning in Primary Grades" By; Kathy Cassidy. I think the book sounds great. Mrs. Cassidy expresses in the first chapter about "having been there herself" it gives the reader a little ease when they begin to think "How am I going to have the time?" Mrs. Tolisano says. Mrs. Tolisano has the great idea that every new teacher or someone in the education field should read this book! Given what she has said about the book I think it is a great idea and I actually want to go read it my self now after reading her blog! : )
