Emma

Emma is in Mrs. Seyfert's class and on March 20th 2013 Emma wrote a blog about "Character to self." Emma compared herself to Herminoe from Harry Potter. She says that they are alike in the way that they both like to learn new things and do not let people stop them even if people may make fun of them. She wishes and thinks that she and Herminoe would be friends in really life, as I would wish that too. Herminoe was always my favorite from Harry Potter.

Joe B

Joe B I believe is a middle school-er. On March 22nd 2013 He wrote about our second amendment and gun control. You can tell that he is pretty passionate about it and the fact that he wants to keep our second amendment. Some of the points he makes of why we need to keep it are for self-defense; just as the amendment says "A well-regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state" He says that if we get attacked by terrorist we need to be able to defend ourselves. Another reason he says is because of unemployment. If they were to take away the guns then gun business would go out and unemployment would rise. He then states that we should not blame guns but blame the killers and should have better back ground checks for someone trying to get a gun.

-I agree with Joe and I asked him as I will ask you. What do you do if someone already owns a gun and then either becomes a criminal or has a mental illness?! Do you try to take it away being the government, and how would they know and be able to fin every single one anyways?! What I told him was I do not think that the government is going to be able to change the outcome of what guns+crazy people do. They can maybe try to make it harder for someone to buy but since when have criminals followed rules?!
